The black belt, which we supply, is the EP 200 belt. EP basically means that polyester/polyamide is the reinforcement material. Hence rubber is reinforced with polyester/polyamide to give it the strength to withstand wear and tear.
based on this the list of ingredients (raw materials) in the belt are as follows:
1) Nylon yarn 840 denier and above - 8%
2) Polyester yarn 840 denier and above – 9.5 %
3) Synthetic rubber SBR 1502/1712 - 53%
4) Natural rubber – 10%
5) Carbon black – 17%
6) Rubber chemicals (antioxidants, accelerators, retarders, peptizers etc) – 1.75%
7) Misc chemicals Process aids, bonding/coupling agents, tackifiers, synthetic resins – 0.75%
The standard lengths of the belt is 100 mtrs +/- 10 mtrs. It can also be made as per the customers requirement. Thickness of 3 ply belts is about 4.5 mm whereas that of 4 ply belts is about 5.5-6 mm.
The standard width of the belt ranges from 6” (150 mm) to 72” (1800 mm).
These belts are used for transmission purposes in factories and mines. It is seldom also used for conveying purpose and in rice mills as an elevator belt.
The white belt, which we have supplied, is synthetic food grade belt, which does not have rubber in it. The main ingredients are as follows:
1) Polyester yarn- 40 %
2) Organic polymers- 30 %
3) Special grade adhesives- 20%
4) Bonding agents- 1%
5) Master batch- 7%
6) Anti oxidants- 2 %
The standard length of the belt is 150 mtrs +/- 10 mtrs. It can also be made as per the customer’s requirement. The width varies from 4”(100 mm) to 35” (875 mm). The width of 3 ply belts is about 4-4.5 mm and that of 4 ply belts is about 5.5 – 6 mm.
These belts are used for transmission purposes, for conveying food items in food processing plants (like biscuit factories), in rice mills as an elevator belt. As it does not have rubber so contamination in rice is avoided if these belts are used.
